Ars docendi 18/2024

Premessa – Vorwort [Adami]

Current initiatives and experiments in Latin and Greek teaching: this is the main topic of the March issue of Ars docendi.

We would like to introduce you to individual initiatives for teaching Latin and Greek that are of great interest to us. It is about didactic and methodological innovations concerning teaching and the role of teachers (for Latin and Greek in general), it is about experiments in the field of assessment, new ideas concerning the curricular training in the liceo classico and curricular programmes in Germany, it's about interesting links between Latin and Greek lessons and other, perhaps quite unfamiliar subject areas.

We introduce you to projects aimed at modernising the teaching of Classics at the so called “licei”, look at recent essays and reflections on the teaching of Latin and Greek today, deal with an interesting programme at a grammar school in Liechtenstein and we also bring you two current academic essays on the ancient god Pan and a very specific line of reception and a special discovery concerning the classical philologist Wilamowitz-Moellendorff.
